Campione carries, Through his sire Capitol I, the blood of lineage 173, the most dominating stallion line in Holstein. The great Capitol I produced, from a relatively small number of offspring, a long string of international showjumping horses, including the stallions Carthago Z, Cassini I and II, Carolus II, Cento, Capriol, CalatoZ, Cardento and Celano. In his second and third generation Campione carries the blood of the legendary thouroughbred sires Sacramento Song xx and Cottage Son xx. Campione is a fullbrother to the well-known international showjumping horse Cathleen ridden by M. Michaels-Beerbaum. Both descends from the mare Lausitz, who we also know as dam of the international showjumping horse Loro Piana Zigeunerin (Caletto II) under Rodrigo Pessoa. Jumping genes are firmly rotted in this family, which is again confirmed by the successful international showjumping horse Sedac, a full brother of dam Lausitz from Holstein lineage 3561. Campione also clearly passes on the quality of this family, which can be concluded from the fact that already seven of his offspring are performing at Grand Prix level in the showjumping sport, namely Campino (Alessia Marioni), Camporado (Tobias Bachl), Caracas (Karina Rie Truelsen), Chamone (Rolf Göran Bengtson), Comtessa (Christian Ahlmann), Conduct (Beth Underhill) and Ivana (Dirk Schröder). In addition, Campione already has three licensed sons in Campagne, Camporado and Chardon. Also as sire of broodmares he is very impressive: so in 2007 were licensed two stallions out of mares by Campione (Chico I by Chicago I in Zangersheide and a son by Balou du Rouet in Oldenburg International).
The also in his lifetime legendary sire Polydor breed a big group of jumpers for international competitions: Pilgrim (B. Nagel), Pozitano (B. Mändli), Peu a Peu (M. Renzel), Paavo K and Paramo K (both J. Kürten), Mr. President (Ch. Ahlmann), Pamina (O. Becker), Sprehe Padua (R. Schneider) - also dam of the sire Zandor Z and the great sire Potsdam (H.-W. Johannsmann). The offspring by Polydor won more then 4 million Euro. The mother with the same name Pigane was one of the great Military-horses from Edith Schless (Junior-European-Champion 1978 and German Champion 1978 and a lot of success in jumping class S). With the thouroughbred sire Ballyboy xx gives the needed shot blood into the pedigree. Pigane was pemium foal (bronce) and premium mare (silver). Pigane produced some high quality offspring like Cheressy by Carte D´Or , Certus Z by Catoki (Austria) and actual Quax by Quidam´s Rubin - successfull in youngster competitions with Thomas Kleis - qualified for Bundeschampionat 2010.
